Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
• 2 years experience as an MRI Technologist is required.
• Advanced ARRT MRI (MR) certification is required and BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in performing all MRI procedures on patients in every age group.
• Positions patient, selects the correct protocol, and utilizes all required equipment.
• Maintains competency in all non-scanner related components.
• Follows established imaging protocols for the exam being performed.
• Performs quality control procedures per ACR guidelines.
• Provides age-specific patient care in accordance with standards.
• Provides patient education and communications per standards.
• Maintains proficiency to perform advanced MR procedures.
• Assumes responsibilities for complex patients and operates with minimal supervision.
• Performs pre-scan review of orders and ensures patient readiness, including contrast/renal function checks.
• Remotely initiates and controls scanning and technical parameters, monitoring image quality.
• Maintains audio/video communication with on-site staff while guiding on-site operator.
• Documents scan details, protocol deviations, and any technical issues.
• Uses remote sessions to train supporting on-site personnel.
