Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare Corporate in Atlanta, GA is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our on-site imaging team. You will perform MRI procedures across age groups, ensure patient safety, and uphold quality standards under ARRT guidelines.

The role requires two years of MRI experience, ARRT MRI certification, and BLS. You will work closely with on-site staff, train teammates, and ensure accurate documentation of scans and protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• 2 years MRI technologist experience.
• ARRT MRI (MR) certification and BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures across all age groups.
• Position patient, select protocol, and operate equipment.
• Maintain competency in non-scanner components.
• Follow established imaging protocols.
• Perform quality control per ACR guidelines.
• Provide age-specific care per standards.
• Educate patients and communicate effectively.
• Maintain proficiency for advanced MR procedures.
• Handle complex patients with guidance as needed.
• Review orders and labs pre-scan; verify patient identity with two identifiers.
• Remotely initiate and control scanning and parameters in real time.
• Maintain audio/video communication with on-site staff.
• Document scan details and any deviations or issues.
• Use remote sessions to train on-site personnel.
