Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced MRI Manager to oversee the clinical and operational activities of the MRI section within Diagnostic Imaging. The role emphasizes staff supervision, budgeting, policy development, and ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include training personnel, coordinating with the Medical Director and Clinical Instructors, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while driving service excellence.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal accredited training program in an approved School of Radiology Technology.
• Registration through the American Registry for Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT).
• Demonstrated knowledge to provide quality patient care considering aging, development, and culture.
• Analytical and critical thinking to plan and direct Section operations and set future goals.
• Interpersonal and communication skills to interface with patients, physicians, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provides input in planning and development of goals for the department.
• Supports policies and procedures for the department.
• Interviews and makes hires per HR guidelines for the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
• Trains and orients new personnel and assigns work accordingly.
• Manages departmental budgets and operates budgets with the Director.
• Monitors equipment calibration, maintenance, and vendor coordination.
