Job summary

Mount Sinai Health System seeks an experienced Radiology Operations Manager to oversee MRI, CT, Mammography and Ultrasound services. You will manage supervisory technical staff, implement safety and QA programs, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local guidelines.

You will develop policy, monitor performance metrics, and coordinate with leadership to plan equipment usage and capital investments, while maintaining accurate productivity and quality reports across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training.
• 5 years minimum experience as radiological technologist with 3-5 years supervisory experience.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist (RT) or Certified Nuclear Med Tech (CNMT) required by NYS Department of Health.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and evaluate supervisory technical staff across MRI, CT, Mammography and Ultrasound; set performance standards and priorities.
• Develop and enforce radiology policies, procedures, safety controls and QA processes.
• Ensure compliance with current safety requirements and state accreditation organizations.
• Oversee radiology activities in line with state and federal agencies and entities.
• Develop management systems for equipment usage, space allocation, and personnel activities.
• Provide detailed reports on productivity, patient care, sentinel events, equipment and QA measures.
• Maintain current knowledge of radiologic procedures and diagnostics; attend relevant seminars and conferences.
• Participate in capital purchasing processes for diagnostic equipment and planning needs.
• Serve as liaison between technical staff and senior leadership and external partners.
• Perform other related duties as required.
