Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in MRI imaging.
• ARRT MRI registration and RT certification required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to employees and students, including training and orientation, providing day-to-day work direction and performance feedback.
• Assists with interviewing and selection of new employees and staff development.
• Interprets department policies, communicates changes, and identifies performance improvement opportunities.
• Serves as a clinical resource and preceptor for staff and students, collaborating with other departments on imaging processes.
• Operates MRI equipment to perform basic to advanced diagnostic procedures (angiography, thoracic, abdomen, venous, cardiac, functional MRI, breast MRI, fetal MRI, spectroscopy).
• Obtains patient history, ensures exam accuracy, administers contrast media, positions patient, and optimizes imaging factors.
• Post-processes images, labels correctly, and documents in the radiology information system with accurate billing codes.
• Monitors equipment performance and conducts quality assurance and evaluations of products and equipment.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting tasks, including lifting and pushing, with proper safety techniques.
