Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of cross sectional anatomy and magnetic safety.
• Proficient in intravenous (IV) and venipuncture.
• Understanding accreditation policies and procedures in radiology.
• Ability to lead staff and uphold service commitments.
• Strong communication and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently and solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a resource to employees and students, providing training and direction.
• Assists with HR responsibilities including interviewing and staff development.
• Interprets department policies and identifies improvement opportunities.
• Serves as a technical resource and preceptor for staff and students.
• Operates MRI equipment for various diagnostic procedures and ensures safety.
• Obtains patient history, applies contrast media, positions patients, and selects scanning factors.
• Post-processes images and labels them with patient and scan details.
• Maintains records and documents billing codes for charges.
• Identifies equipment issues and conducts QA tests.
• Performs patient positioning and lifting with proper technique.
