Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to operate MR equipment for routine musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging. You will obtain patient history, verify orders, administer contrast under Radiologist direction, position patients, and ensure image quality with proper safety protocols.

You will also post-process images, document data in the radiology information system, and participate in QA and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Advanced training beyond high school in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT MRI registration or CAMRT/ARMRIT certification within 2 years or as required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 6 months.
• Ability to provide patient care across age groups.

Responsibilities

• Operate MRI equipment for diagnostic procedures across musculoskeletal, neuro, and body imaging.
• Obtain patient history, verify orders, and administer contrast under Radiologist supervision.
• Position patients, adjust scanning factors, ensure safety and image quality.
• Post-process images and label with patient data and scan location.
• Maintain radiology information system records and document billing codes.
• Perform QA tests and report equipment issues; evaluate new equipment.
• Assist with patient handling including lifting and transporting.
• Provide age-appropriate care per department policies.
