Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a highly motivated Manufacturing Quality & Reliability Engineer to drive NPI qualification and MP readiness for multiple technology nodes. You will lead technical reviews and use data analysis to close gaps before mass production.

You will develop risk assessments, improve processes for new tech and collaborate with global teams to ensure robust quality and ramp readiness.

Qualifications

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Mathematics or related field is required.
Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies: SPC, FMEA, DOE, 8D problem-solving, and statistical analysis.
Working knowledge of process integration, yield and/or fab processes (thin films deposition, lithography, etch, diffusion).

Responsibilities

Lead qualification for New Product Introduction (NPI) and Mass Production readiness for various products and technology nodes.
Provide technical feedback in review boards and communicate with senior leadership.
Monitor data to identify gaps and support products before mass production using statistical analysis.
Develop risk assessment tools and enhance procedures for new technology nodes or products.
Drive fab-wide efforts to improve defense lines and create data analysis scripts/dashboards for quality KPIs.
Collaborate with local expats and QR teams in Korea to benchmark and implement quality improvements.
Lead root-cause corrective actions (RCCA/8D) during FAB qualification phases to ensure mass production quality.
