Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. seeks a Senior SWIFT & IBM MQ Engineer to design, implement, and support messaging infrastructure across SWIFT, IBM MQ, and Tableau.

You will own production reliability, perform root-cause analysis, and drive automation using Ansible, Python, and shell scripting. The role requires 5+ years in enterprise middleware, deep hands-on experience with SWIFT and IBM MQ, and the ability to operate in a regulated financial environment on Windows and Linux platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent hands-on experience supporting messaging platforms
• 5+ years supporting enterprise middleware and financial messaging platforms with hands-on SWIFT and IBM MQ
• Experience installing, configuring, and administering SWIFT Alliance Access and Alliance Gateway
• Direct experience administering IBM MQ including queue managers, channels, and performance tuning
• Experience troubleshooting SWIFT and IBM MQ in live production environments
• Comfortable administering Windows Server (2019+) and Linux (Red Hat preferred)
• Working knowledge of SDLC tools including Git and configuration management like Puppet or Ansible
• Knowledge of DR/BCP and managing systems across production and non-production environments
• Ability to build automation using scripting/tools like Ansible, Bash, Python, PowerShell
• Strong problem solving and communication skills with technical and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Design, plan, and implement integrated solutions across SWIFT, IBM MQ, and supporting messaging infrastructure
• Tune systems for maximum performance and throughput across financial messaging environments
• Respond to and support production operations in a 24/7 environment
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SWIFT, IBM MQ, Tableau, and other enterprise applications
• Provide application support and administration for SWIFT, IBM MQ, Tableau, and other applications
• Manage application configurations, patch levels and evolution paths
• Own technical problems from root cause through resolution, providing analysis and solutions
• Provide support to and coordinate with developers, operations staff, release engineers, and end-users
• Educate and mentor team members and operations staff
• Participate in a weekly on-call rotation for after-hours support and change events
