Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Sr. Movable Bridge Engineer to lead electrical design for rehabilitation and new movable bridge projects across the US and Canada. You will inspect, analyze, and develop rehabilitation strategies while mentoring engineers.

The role requires a PE in the US, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and 15+ years of relevant experience. Strong writing, communication, and collaboration are essential; travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-EAC Accredited Degree).
• Professional Engineer (PE) in the US required.
• 15+ years of experience in movable bridge electrical engineering.
• Experience with CAD/drawing software (AutoCAD/MicroStation).
• Solid understanding of AASHTO LRFD Movable Bridge Design Specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on movable bridge projects.
• Direct and mentor design teams and engineers.
• Perform inspections and rehabilitation strategy development.
• Prepare drawings, specs, calculations, reports, and cost estimates.
• Develop preliminary CAD details and coordinate with CAD technicians.
• Communicate with clients and project teams; produce technical memoranda.
• Travel for short-term assignments as needed.
