Job summary

Barnard Construction Company, Inc. in Brownsville, Texas is seeking an experienced Blade Operator to run motor graders on civil projects. You will perform rough and finish grading, level and spread materials, ensuring exact grade and slope.

Qualifications

• Operate a motor grader/blade to level, shape and smooth subgrades in heavy civil construction.
• Set and regulate blade depth, angle, and tilt to meet project elevations.
• Minimum five (5) years construction experience.
• Minimum two (2) years operating a Motor Grader/Blade.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Ability to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl.
• Ability to rig and hoist material.
• Ability to withstand heights.
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods and work in extreme weather.
• Long, irregular hours: six to seven days per week, 50–70 hours.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance.
