Job summary
ESR Motor Systems, LLC is seeking an experienced Senior Motor & Drive Application Specialist to support our sales team with complex industrial electric motor, variable frequency drive, and project opportunities.
The role focuses on large and medium-voltage motors and drives, obsolete equipment replacements, and detailed, customer-ready proposals. Remote candidates within the U.S. are welcome, with preferred on-site ESR locations in multiple cities.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of electric motor/drive experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of industrial motors and applications
- Medium-voltage motor and drive experience preferred
- Experience with large motors and obsolete equipment replacements
- Ability to interpret motor nameplates and drawings
- Experience reviewing complex bid packages
- Excellent communication and organization
Responsibilities
- Manage quotations for large and medium-voltage motors and drives from RFQ to handoff
- Support sales teams with motor selection, specs, and technical questions
- Review RFQs, drawings, and bid packages to determine solutions
- Cross-reference products and identify suitable alternatives
- Develop polished, customer-ready quote packages with technical data and drawings
- Coordinate with manufacturers for selections, pricing, lead times
- Interact with customers to clarify applications during opportunity development
