Job summary

Stack AV is seeking strong software engineers with motion planning experience to design, implement, test, and deploy motion planning components for autonomous trucks. You will own complex technical challenges end-to-end: framing vehicle behaviors, aligning interfaces with upstream and downstream teams, and delivering high-performance C++ on compute-constrained platforms.

You will work with Autonomy teams across Trajectory Generation, Trajectory Evaluation, World Fusion, Prediction, Perception,

Qualifications

• Proficient in modern C++ and Python.
• Experience with motion planning in autonomous systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of motion planning features from design to integration, solving on-vehicle problems and delivering for customer needs.
• Help shape long-term architecture and roadmap while ensuring timely delivery of features.
• Work closely with systems engineers to ensure a safe, well tested product is delivered.
• Write clean, maintainable, and high-performance software using modern C++ and Python.
• Collaborate with Autonomy teams (Trajectory Generation, Evaluation, World Fusion, Prediction, Perception, Localization, Mapping) to design robust solutions.
• Coordinate verification with test teams, using unit tests, simulation, and log analysis.
• Participate in design iterations and align stakeholders with clear communication.
