Job summary

FNB Corporation in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Manager of Mortgage Underwriting to lead the Residential Mortgage Underwriting team and ensure high quality loan decisions across conventional, government, and portfolio programs.

You will supervise underwriters and support staff, maintain program accreditations, participate in policy updates, and collaborate with Compliance, Legal and Product Development to deploy new products. A proven background in underwriting and leadership is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 10+ years of related underwriting experience.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong attention to accuracy.
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a basic level.
• FHA Direct Endorsed Underwriter certification and LAAP accreditation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Residential Mortgage Underwriting area.
• Supervise Underwriters and Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor; assist HR for staff.
• Maintain and update underwriting guidelines and procedures.
• Ensure accuracy of loan structuring and conditions; respond to audits.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Legal and Product teams on new programs.
• Represent the department with agencies and regulators as needed.
