Job summary

Ocrolus Inc. is seeking an experienced Mortgage Underwriter to support our AI-driven lending platform. This role requires deep knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, and VA guidelines and hands-on experience interpreting income, assets, credit, AUS, and collateral documentation.

You will test underwriting tools, partner with Sales and Product to identify improvements, and ensure compliance with agency and investor standards while communicating findings clearly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mortgage underwriting experience, including FHA and VA.
• Strong ability to review income, assets, credit, AUS findings, and collateral.
• Experience testing technology products or tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Test underwriting tools against applicable guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA, VA).
• Review borrower documentation and ensure correct application of underwriting rules.
• Document test results, flag discrepancies, and propose solutions for compliance.
