Straffing AI in Dallas, TX, seeks a Senior Controller - Mortgage Servicing to lead enterprise accounting operations across multiple entities. This executive role oversees month-end close, financial reporting, cash management, reconciliations, intercompany activity, internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance, with a deep focus on Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) and US GAAP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional accounting certification.
• 15+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• 10+ years of senior-level accounting experience specifically within mortgage servicing or related financial-services.
• Controller-level experience with ownership of significant accounting operations.
• Direct experience with Mortgage Servicing Rights (MSR) accounting/valuation.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with investor/agency reporting for Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and/or Ginnie Mae.
• Experience building and developing accounting teams.
• Strong enterprise accounting operations knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise accounting across multiple entities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end close and financial reporting.
• Manage reconciliations, intercompany, cash flow, AP, payroll.
• Coordinate with external auditors and valuation firms.
• Oversee MSR accounting and valuation processes.
• Apply US GAAP and technical accounting positions.
• Support investor and agency reporting (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae).
• Ensure internal controls and regulatory compliance.
• Manage debt reporting and covenant compliance.
• Mentor and develop the accounting team.
• Establish accounting policies and documentation.
• Present financials to executives.
