Job summary

Self-Help seeks a Sr. Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team in the Durham, NC, Modesto, CA, or Charlotte, NC offices. You will analyze borrower information, manage loan files, and coordinate with underwriters to ensure timely processing and compliance.

The ideal candidate has mortgage experience, excellent attention to detail, and strong data analysis skills. This role requires collaboration with loan officers and adherence to federal and state requirements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 3 years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus 3 years mortgage related experience.

Responsibilities

Handle mortgage processing and analysis including income, loan docs, disclosures and borrower data.
Review loan packages for conditions, prep for underwriting and QC.
Verify borrower information and ensure compliance with program guidelines and regulations.
Coordinate data collection, verifications and lender requirements to meet deadlines.
Monitor deadlines and alerts in the mortgage loan system; track activity with processors.
Review appraisals, identify collateral issues and initiate remedies.
Collaborate with borrowers and loan officers to obtain missing information.
