Job summary

C&N is seeking a Mortgage Loan Originator II to join our Mortgage Lending team. You will originate and underwrite residential mortgages, develop strong referral networks, and help clients achieve homeownership with personalized mortgage solutions.

The ideal candidate has 4–6 years of experience, strong sales and relationship skills, and a commitment to service, integrity, and results within a community-focused bank.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 4–6 years related experience in customer service, preferably banking.
• NMLS certification within 1 year of employment.
• Proven sales, business development and relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of mortgage lending and market trends.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Originate and underwrite conforming and non-conforming residential mortgages while maintaining accuracy and client satisfaction.
• Develop and manage relationships with referral sources to generate new business.
• Interview clients, analyze financial needs, and provide personalized mortgage solutions.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell financial products.
• Participate in community events to promote C&N.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely, compliant loan closings.
