Job summary

Legions United Funding, an independent funding and mortgage brokerage partnered by Barrett Financial, is expanding its Loan Officer team. This role offers strong commissions, premium warm leads, and a work-from-home option for many candidates, with Scottsdale, AZ as a possible in-office location.

As an MLO, you will originate and manage mortgage loans from initial inquiry through closing, ensuring compliance and delivering competitive financing options to clients and real estate partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an MLO with an active NMLS license.
• 5+ years of sales experience or relevant financial loan experience at a financial institution.

Responsibilities

• Originates and processes mortgage loan applications from initial contact to closing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with FNMA, fair housing, and regulatory guidelines.
• Utilizes LOS to input data, run pre-qualifications, and manage pipeline; reviews documents and provides underwriting support as needed.
• Conducts financial analysis, calculates debt-to-income ratios, and communicates loan options clearly to clients.
• Builds relationships with borrowers, real estate professionals, and partners; negotiates terms and coordinates closing activities to secure funding.
• Maintains records, adheres to compliance standards, and provides high-quality customer service throughout the loan lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an MLO with an active NMLS license
• 5+ years of sales experience or relevant financial loan experience at a commercial bank, credit union, mortgage company, or other financial institution.
