Job summary

Granite Bank in Minnesota is seeking a results-driven Mortgage Loan Officer to manage the end-to-end mortgage process, including underwriting, client service, and portfolio management. You will develop relationships with real estate agents, builders and referral sources to grow loan volume and ensure compliance with federal mortgage rules.

This on-site, full-time role reports to the SVP of Sales and emphasizes customer communication, accuracy in data gathering, and timely loan closures.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of all loan programs and closing costs.
• FHA, VA and conventional underwriting guidelines knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Verifies information on applications to obtain missing data or correct mistakes.
• Communicates with borrowers to help them choose the best mortgage loan they can afford.
• Collects data from borrowers such as assets, salaries, debts and employment status.
• Reviews file documentation for missing or erroneous information.
• Verifies information about applicant history with credit bureaus and other agencies.
• Inform borrowers about loan application deadlines and requirements.
• Counsel borrowers about loan programs and help select the best fit.
• Maintain a large pipeline of loans and meet closing deadlines.
• Develop relationships with referral partners and maintain knowledge of Granite Mortgage products.
