Job summary

Citizens Bank is seeking a collateral review professional to assess property valuations and ensure compliance with Federal/State laws and our risk policy. You will review documentation, coordinate with internal teams, and escalate issues to protect loan collateral values.

The role requires mortgage underwriting experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office; FHA/VA experience is preferred. Work hours are typical 40/week with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified appraiser required.
• Three or more years mortgage or consumer loan underwriting experience; appraisal review preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with internal and external clients.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Review collateral to ensure loans meet portfolio and investor guidelines.
• Develop and maintain understanding of Mortgage Lending products, policies and collateral requirements.
• Obtain collateral documentation from internal clients, external clients, vendors and third parties.
• Perform detailed review of collateral documents to ensure compliance.
• Identify next steps for collateral issues and escalate as needed.
• Communicate with other departments and sales to meet pipeline metrics and quality guidelines.
• Adhere to all compliance regulations and controls.
• Build positive relationships with colleagues, clients, partners and vendors.
• Mentor peers as appropriate.
