Job summary

Citizens is seeking an experienced collateral reviewer to ensure real estate loans are secured with adequate collateral value. You will verify appraisals, review documentation, and ensure compliance with Federal/State laws and Citizens risk policies.

The role requires 3+ years in mortgage or consumer loan underwriting with appraisal review preferred, strong communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office. Regular hours are 40 per week with benefits and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified appraiser.
• 3+ years mortgage or consumer loan underwriting experience; appraisal review preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication with internal/external clients.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications (Microsoft Office).

Responsibilities

• Review collateral to ensure compliance with Federal/State law and Citizens risk policy.
• Develop understanding of Mortgage Lending products, policies, processes and collateral requirements.
• Obtain collateral documentation from internal/ external clients, vendors and third parties.
• Perform detailed review of collateral documentation to meet portfolio/investor guidelines.
• Escalate collateral issues and determine next steps.
• Communicate with other departments to meet pipeline metrics and quality guidelines.
• Adhere to compliance regulations and controls.
• Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, clients, and partners.
• Mentor peers as appropriate.
