Job summary

Citizens seeks an experienced Mortgage Quality Control Underwriter to re-underwrite and review loan decisions for the Private Bank Home Lending group. You will ensure compliance with credit policy, input accuracy of conditions, review appraisals, and assist in targeted assurance reviews.

This role alternates between Pre-Funding and Post-Closing reviews. Ideal candidates have 7+ years underwriting experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with MS Office and mortgage software such as

Qualifications

• 7+ years of underwriting experience with in-depth knowledge of manual underwriting guidelines.
• Advanced knowledge of complex underwriting for high-net-worth borrowers including multiple businesses and real estate portfolios.
• Strong communication, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Re-underwrite and review underwriting decisions for QC loan samples.
• Ensure conditions are input correctly and satisfied.
• Review appraisals for soundness and determine if review is warranted.
