Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Staff Supply Chain Engineer - Molten Salts to own supplier development, audits, and QA in our R&D space. You will lead quality improvements across design and manufacturing, collaborating with engineering, operations and vendors.

The role requires deep supplier quality expertise, manufacturing process know-how, and the ability to drive complex corrective actions. Travel to vendor sites is expected as part of plant start-ups and scale-up.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• 6+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Experience with chemical plants.
• Supplier management experience.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing, industrial engineering, processes.
• Experience with PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and Lean Six Sigma.
• Ability to design and improve supplier quality processes.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities.
• Creative negotiation skills and collaboration.
• Ability to work under pressure and make good judgments.

Responsabilidades

• Partner with suppliers to improve quality, delivery, and inventory performance.
• Conduct supplier audits and review technical quality documentation.
• Lead onsite supplier problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Manage quality issues (NCRs) and drive corrective actions.
• Support procurement and engineering with quality requirements and supplier selection.
• Develop reliability improvements in designs and manufacturing.
• Provide technical reviews of drawings, specs, and materials.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve manufacturing challenges.
• Identify gaps in processes and drive corrective timelines with vendors.
• Lead PFMEA/APQP processes and document quality characteristics.
• On-site presence at vendors for start-ups and launches of production lines.
• Project-manage the launch of new production lines as molten salt supply scales.
• Expedite new molten salt production lines according to business needs.
• Adhere to supplier quality and export compliance policies.
• Interface with production, inspection, shipping, and engineering to define quality signals.
