Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in medical technology, chemistry, biology, or related life science.
• 1 year of relevant work experience as Medical Lab Technologist.
• State licensure where applicable (CA, FL, NY require licensing).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to pass color vision test.

Responsibilities

• Follows written lab procedures for correct handling and processing of specimens.
• Maintains up-to-date working knowledge of technical procedures and instrumentation.
• Manages equipment maintenance and troubleshooting; resolves malfunctions.
• Assists in orientation and training of new employees; mentors staff.
• Performs quality control procedures and analyzes QC data; takes corrective action.
• Operates and maintains laboratory instruments; documents issues and coordinates with support.
• Reviews Pending Logs; resolves missing specimen issues and escalates when needed.
• Participates in evaluating and developing new procedures, methods, and instruments.
• May adjust schedule to meet company needs.
