Job summary

Centers Health Care in Paterson, NJ seeks a Molecular Technologist to perform all aspects of testing in our clinical molecular laboratory. The role involves molecular analysis, manual pipetting, data evaluation and strict adherence to quality control procedures under supervision.

You will help develop new technologies, maintain equipment and LIS systems, manage proficiency testing, write and review SOPs, and ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Medical Technology, Molecular, Chemistry, Biology, or related Life Science.
• MT ASCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate specimens and organize workflow for efficient testing and turnaround time.
• Perform DNA extraction, PCR, hybridization, and sequencing.
• Maintain QC/validation activities and compliance with regulatory standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot instrumentation and LIS software.
• Assist in SOP development and staff training; supervise as needed.
