Job summary

Almac Group seeks a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor to oversee daily testing activities in our CLIA-accredited Clinical Testing Laboratory, including high-complexity molecular testing within global clinical trials. You will supervise scientific staff, ensure accurate reporting, and drive continuous improvement while upholding patient care and quality standards.

The role leads a talented team, maintains regulatory compliance, and advances clinical trial outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in chemical, biological, medical, clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
• M.S. or Ph.D. with 1+ year/4+ years in qPCR, Nanostring or NGS as applicable.
• Ph.D. with 1+ year in qPCR, Nanostring or NGS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day supervision of testing personnel and reporting of results in the high complexity laboratory.
• Coordinate activities of junior team members to meet testing deadlines.
• Monitor analytic performance to ensure QC standards are met.
• Develop, revise or review SOPs and quality documents.
• Perform molecular biology techniques following QC policies.
• Address deviations promptly and escalate to leadership.
• Be available to staff for on-site or remote technical guidance.
• Monitor reagent stocks and ensure proper qualification and expiry checks.
