Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Technology, CLS, molecular biology or related bioscience.
• Certifications: MLS or CLS through ASCP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sample preparation: log and process specimens using extraction methods.
• Molecular testing: perform PCR, RT-qPCR, sequencing.
• Quality control: run standards, calibrate, document QA per CLIA/CAP.
• Data management: accurately enter results into LIMS.
• Equipment maintenance: routine upkeep and troubleshooting of instruments.
• Safety: follow biosafety protocols and wear PPE.
• Staff management: train and schedule testing personnel, assess competency.
• Troubleshooting: resolve equipment or protocol issues.
