Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in biology or related field with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong bench skills in molecular biology including nucleic acid extraction, PCR, sequencing.
• Experience with NGS setup and analysis.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Familiarity with web-based databases.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Advanced MS Excel skills; coding preferred.
• 3+ years of molecular biology experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex lab procedures in a clinical genetic testing lab.
• Design and analyze procedures for genetic diagnosis using molecular techniques.
• Participate in proficiency testing and ensure compliance with policies.
• Maintain lab policies and documents for regulatory review.
• Be flexible with weekend scheduling to meet STAT requests.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
• Assist in preparing research papers and participating in meetings.
• Supervise junior colleagues and maintain equipment and supplies.
