Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or related field with 5+ years of lab experience; MS with 3+ years.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with NGS library prep, library QC, and Illumina sequencing platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with Gibson, Golden Gate, and related cloning workflows.
• Demonstrated ability to generate high‑quality data with rigorous documentation and sample tracking.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams.
• Clear communicator in fast‑paced, collaborative lab environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform NGS library prep, QC, and end‑to‑end operation of Illumina MiSeq i100 and NextSeq 2000.
• Execute high‑throughput cloning workflows to build constructs and variant libraries at scale.
• Assemble, quantify, and QC large pooled libraries ensuring coverage and diversity.
• Manage samples, barcodes, and metadata across sequencing and cloning workflows in ELN/LIMS.
• Develop, optimize, and document robust protocols to improve throughput, cost, and quality.
• Interpret raw sequencing data with computation team to guide platform decisions.
• Collaborate with enzyme science, chemical biology, and machine learning teams to meet downstream needs.
• Maintain rigorous experimental documentation and lab best practices.
