AllSearch Staffing Group is actively seeking a Mold Maker for a plastics manufacturer in Elkhart, IN. The role centers on designing and building new injection molds, with involvement from CAM and machining through final assembly for production use.

The ideal candidate will have journeyman certification and 5+ years of mold-making experience in injection molding, with proficiency in operating tool-room equipment such as CNC mills, EDM, Wire EDM, and grinders.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification required.
• 5+ years of mold-making experience within injection molding manufacturing required.
• Experience building and assembling new injection molds required.
• Experience setting up and operating tool room equipment, including CNC mills, EDM, Wire EDM, drill presses, grinders, and saws required.
• Experience using CAM software for mold manufacturing and machining required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings required.

Responsibilities

• Use CAM software and machining processes to fabricate injection mold components and build molds from start to finish
• Build, fit, and assemble new injection molds while meeting quality and production requirements
• Modify and repair existing injection molds and tooling as needed
• Set up and operate tool room equipment including CNC mills, EDM equipment, Wire EDM, drill presses, grinders, and saws
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and mold designs
• Machine, fit, and assemble mold components for new mold builds
• Prototype, machine, and fabricate fixtures both with and without prints
• Support mold troubleshooting, modification, and repair activities
• Mentor and coach mold-making apprentices
