Job summary

Blue Origin seeks a seasoned Senior Product Engineer to own the production release of the Modem SOC for TeraWave, guiding from tape-out to high-volume production. You will coordinate across validation, test, and design teams, ensuring qualification, reliability, and cost targets.

The role collaborates with NPI and backend operations, focusing on power management, security subsystems, and DVFS in a space-ready, terrestrial-agnostic modem context. Relocation possible.

Qualifications

• BSEE or equivalent with 7+ years in IC product engineering or development.
• Experience owning releases through characterization, qualification and reliability testing.
• Hands-on high-speed digital SOC testing including SerDes, DDR, compute bring-up, and ATE test.
• Strong knowledge of IC manufacturing processes, DFT, and failure analysis.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting for test automation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of Modem SOC product release from tape-out through production qualification.
• Formulate and execute characterization and qualification plans across subsystems.
• Lead validation and test groups for measurements and data collection; oversee DOE and data analysis.
• Collaborate with validation to deliver a fully characterized and tested SoC.
• Lead boot subsystem bring-up, secure boot flows, and OTA firmware verification.
• Characterize power management, DVFS, and per-domain transitions for space budgets.
• Validate crypto, DMA security subsystems, and integrity fail responses.
• Develop and validate ATE test plans and coverage with DFT/scan and JTAG.
• Root-cause yield issues with design, OSATs, and labs; drive corrective actions.
• Interface NPI team with backend ops and OSATs; monitor KPIs for production health.
