Job summary

Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions is seeking a Principal Modem Architect to own the complete modem firmware architecture for LGA modem modules and guide integration across software and hardware.

You will define architecture, lead cross-team reviews, mentor engineers, and influence platform evolution for 5G-based enterprise and industrial IoT solutions. This is a high-impact role with chipset partners and a chance to shape next-generation modem platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in embedded systems architecture, with 3+ years in modem/wireless domains.
• Hands-on experience with modem chipset platforms.
• Strong knowledge of ARM cores, DSP, and hardware accelerators.
• Proficiency in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems.
• Experience with system-level debugging using JTAG, trace tools, and lab instruments.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end modem firmware architecture for LGA modules.
• Lead modem software stack integration and upgrade strategy.
• Define guidelines for baseband platform, RF, power management, and interfaces.
• Drive cross-team technical alignment across firmware, hardware, RF, and platform teams.
• Serve as primary technical contact with modem chipset and hardware partners.
• Review design decisions, trade-offs, and performance optimizations.
• Debug and resolve critical system-level issues across hardware, firmware, and software boundaries.
• Influence modem roadmap decisions, technology choices, and future platform evolution.
