Job summary

Mission Driven Research seeks a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to support the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Modeling and Integration team. You will develop, integrate, and test high-fidelity threat missile and radar models used in defense simulations, directly impacting national security by delivering validated models for mission-critical environments.

The role requires 10+ years M&S experience, C++ proficiency, and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C++.
• Experience with MATLAB/SIMULINK.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office toolset.
• U.S. citizen.
• Bachelor's degree (ABET preferred) in engineering, the sciences or mathematics.
• Minimum 10 years combined M&S experience.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement high-fidelity threat missile and radar simulation models that replicate real-world systems and behaviors.
• Enhance and maintain existing models using advanced modeling and simulation tools in alignment with MSIC delivery schedule.
• Integrate threat models into the JSE simulation architecture, performing integration and regression testing for performance and reliability.
• Analyze simulation outputs, validate models against empirical data, and refine systems for realism and predictive accuracy.
• Utilize technical data packages and intelligence sources to inform model development and contribute to test planning and execution.
