Job summary

Saalex Corporation in Ridgecrest, CA seeks a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to provide advanced M&S support for weapon systems through the acquisition lifecycle and to develop high-fidelity simulations.

Requires at least a Bachelor's in engineering/physics/math/CS/OR/Data Science, 7+ years of relevant defense experience, and an active Top Secret clearance. This is an onsite, full-time role offering a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in modeling & simulation, systems analysis, test & evaluation, or defense acquisition programs.
• Experience developing, validating, executing, or analyzing high-fidelity simulations to assess system performance.
• Experience in flight test planning, data reduction, and related test support activities.
• Experience applying statistical, analytical, and experimental design techniques to simulation studies.
• Experience supporting VV&A activities.
• Experience preparing technical reports and recommendations for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced Modeling & Simulation support for weapon systems throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
• Develop, validate, execute, and analyze high-fidelity simulations to evaluate performance, sensors, and mission effectiveness.
• Conduct pre-flight and post-flight test analysis and flight test data reduction.
• Perform digital image processing and data analysis to support testing and evaluation.
• Design and execute simulation experiments using statistical methods.
• Support VV&A efforts through simulation and analysis activities.
• Assess terminal effectiveness, lethality, vulnerability, and weapon effects performance.
• Develop technical reports and briefings for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support development, testing, and evaluation.
