Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska is seeking a Senior Engineer – Digital Experience to design and build modern front‑end solutions for web, mobile, and marketing‑driven journeys. You will work with digital marketing, analytics, architecture, and customer experience teams to deliver reusable, scalable components and omnichannel experiences.

The role emphasizes data‑driven experimentation, AI‑enabled tooling, and secure, accessible design within a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience building production digital experiences across web and mobile.
• Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React/React Native) for responsive, accessible apps.
• Experience designing reusable front‑end architectures, including shared components or micro front‑end patterns.
• Experience integrating front‑end with APIs, data/analytics platforms, marketing tools, and headless CMS.
• Knowledge of digital marketing concepts and tooling (analytics, experimentation, campaigns).
• Track record of using data/analytics and user testing to drive personalization.
• Understanding of web/mobile security, privacy, and accessibility in regulated environments.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP a plus) and CI/CD practices.
• Passion for solving customer problems and delivering omnichannel experiences.
• Experience with AI-driven tools to enhance design and development productivity.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality front‑end solutions across web, mobile, and marketing channels.
• Own digital capabilities from design handoff through development, release, monitoring, and ongoing support.
• Develop reusable micro front‑ends and shared UI components used across products.
• Apply data‑driven decision making using analytics, experimentation, and user testing.
• Innovate with AI-powered tools to accelerate design, development, and personalization.
• Collaborate with digital marketing, customer experience, product, architecture, and backend teams.
• Integrate front‑end with APIs, data, analytics, and experience platforms for personalization.
• On‑Call Rotation: approximately every 12–14 weeks for a 2‑week period.
