Job summary

Garmin is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Mobile Development to join our Garmin Labs team in the U.S. headquarters area or Cary, NC, leading mobile software initiatives as an individual contributor and technical leader.

You will design and develop native mobile applications (Android/iOS), mentor engineers, review architectures, and guide technical directions while delivering high-quality solutions across Garmin products and services.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of relevant software experience.
Proficiency delivering mobile apps with native SDKs (Android/iOS).
Experience with Kotlin/Java/Swift.
Strong object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.

Responsibilities

May serve as a Lead Software Engineer for complex software projects and review architected modules.
Decompose functional requirements into well-defined tasks.
Provide peer technical assessments on new technologies and designs.
Participate in project leadership and program planning with input to product development plans.
Mentor and guide less experienced software engineers.
Contribute to advanced technical research and process improvements.
Collaborate in peer code and architecture reviews and technical discussions.
Provide reliable solutions to difficult problems.
