Job summary

Garmin Ltd. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer - Mobile Development to provide technical leadership and develop complex mobile software for Garmin products. You will design mobile solutions, mentor engineers, and help guide technical direction from our U.S.

headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area or Garmin Labs in Cary, NC as part of an innovative team. The role requires experience with native Android/iOS development, strong OO design, and the ability to lead important projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 5+ years of experience or equivalent
• Strong academics (GPA ≥ 3.0 typical)
• Experience developing mobile apps for Android and/or iOS using native SDKs
• Proficiency in designing well-architected software systems and modules
• Ability to lead complex software projects as a senior engineer
• Strong peer collaboration and technical leadership skills
• Proficiency with object‑oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor developers on complex mobile software projects
• Decompose requirements into well‑defined tasks and deliverables
• Provide technical assessments on new technologies and designs
• Contribute to project leadership and product development planning
• Participate in code and architecture reviews and technical discussions
• Develop reliable mobile software solutions and guide technical direction
