Job summary

Mudflap is hiring a Senior Mobile Engineering Manager to lead and grow our mobile engineering org in a hybrid Palo Alto setting. You will shape architecture, drive platform investments, and partner with cross-functional teams to deliver fintech and marketplace mobile products.

The role demands exceptional leadership, deep mobile expertise, and a strong stance on AI-assisted development and developer experience as we scale.

Qualifications

5+ years of engineering management leading mobile teams.
Strong mobile background across native and cross-platform frameworks.
Experience scaling mobile architecture at scale.
Background building consumer fintech products.
Proven ability to drive organizational change during growth.
Experience introducing AI-assisted development and automation.
Excellent communication and collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a mobile engineering organization of 10+ engineers.
Drive delivery of high-quality mobile experiences for consumer fintech and marketplace products.
Execute Mudflap's mobile engineering strategy and platform direction.
Evolve the mobile organization toward a product-pod model while maintaining centralized discipline.
Own mobile architecture strategy across native, cross-platform, and hybrid approaches.
Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to define vision, roadmap, and investments.
Champion engineering excellence with code quality, testing, CI/CD, observability, and AI-assisted development.
