Job summary

Mode Mobile is seeking a Sr. Mobile Engineer to lead design, development, and optimization of user-facing features across web and mobile.

This hands-on role requires entering unfamiliar codebases, understanding complex systems, and delivering reliable production systems. You will collaborate with backend, product, and design, push with AI coding agents, emphasize high quality, testing, and rapid iteration in a remote-first environment with a diverse global team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional mobile engineering delivering native apps on Android and iOS.
• Proficient in Kotlin (Android) and Swift/SwiftUI (iOS).
• GitHub for version control and PR-based workflows.
• SOLID, clean coding, testing, automation and instrumentation.
• Experience taking ownership of an existing production system or codebase.
• Agentic AI proficiency with daily use of AI agents to write/review code and automate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and optimization of user-facing features across web and mobile.
• Collaborate with backend, product, and design to bring capabilities to market through rapid iterations.
• Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong testing practices.
• Leverage agentic AI tools to plan, implement, test, and review work with verification.
• Own features end-to-end from concept to production in a fast-paced environment.
