Job summary

Tact is seeking a seasoned mobile platform engineer to own the end‑to‑end mobile experience. You will collaborate with product, design, and a small team of engineers, ensuring strong native iOS/Android capabilities while exploring cross‑platform options like React Native.

You’ll work closely with customers to observe how the product performs in the field, translate insights into features, and help grow the engineering team with mentoring and leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping production mobile apps, including App Store or Play Store release.
• Strong native iOS or Android skills; comfortable with cross‑platform tools like React Native.
• Real experience with AI in shipped features or projects, or strong interest in AI across the team.
• Strong communication and mentoring abilities; comfortable with customer-facing discussions and explaining technical concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile experience of the platform, collaborating with product, design, and a small team of engineers.
• Mentor and guide other engineers day-to-day while helping grow the team.
• Spend time with customers using the product to hear feedback and shape future work.

What you'll be doing

You'll own the mobile experience of the platform, working closely with product, design, and a small team of engineers you'll also help grow. You'll spend real time with the customers using it, hearing how it's working in practice, and shaping what gets built next.

What we need from you

• 5+ years shipping production mobile apps, start to finish, including getting them through App Store or Play Store release
• Strong native iOS or Android skills, and comfortable with (or keen to pick up) cross-platform tools like React Native
• Real experience with AI, whether that's shipping AI features professionally, building your own agents or projects on the side, or just being the person on your team everyone goes to when something needs figuring out in this space
• Strong communication, comfortable mentoring and guiding other engineers day to day, and just as comfortable sitting across from a customer talking through how something works and why
