Job summary

Cox Fleet is seeking a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on light to heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field role. You’ll work independently, travel to client sites, and take home the assigned service vehicle, with safety and professional growth at the core.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3–5+ years in a related field, or equivalent combination.
• Possess and supply a set of hand tools necessary to perform required job duties.
• DOT/FMCSA compliance; able to obtain DOT medical card and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs in a mobile/field setting.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, braking, cooling, engine and drivetrain systems on heavy-/light-duty vehicles.
• Road test vehicles, document findings, and upload service orders via TRAIT on an iOS device.
• Manage parts inventory on the service truck and communicate with management to approve repairs.
