Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is hiring a Permanent Full-Time Senior Level Mobile Diesel Technician to support our Truck Fleet in Lenexa, KS. The role focuses on heavy-duty diesel repair, preventive maintenance and diagnostics with a route-based mobile service model.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; vocational/technical certification preferred.
• Four+ years of relevant work experience typical for this senior role.
• Valid CDL A preferred; other State DLs may be required depending on location.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy/medium duty equipment.
• Must be able to drive Ryder vehicles and pass drug/test and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, including PMs and complex repairs.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and fuel systems; use diagnostic tools as needed.
• Interact with customers/drivers to determine issues and communicate repair plans.
• Road test and verify repairs; ensure safety and quality of work; document repairs.
