Job summary

Cox Automotive is hiring a Sr Mobile Diesel Technician to perform DOT inspections, preventive maintenance, diagnostic, and repair work in a mobile/field environment. You will handle light through heavy-duty trucks, maintain safety standards, and document findings using our TRAIT app.

The role requires ASE certifications and a valid DOT medical card; weekly pay, training, and benefits are provided. Remote work option is available with a residency requirement in the US.

Qualifications

• Valid DOT medical card or able to obtain one
• ASE T6, A8, and L1 certifications preferred
• Ability to determine tools/equipment needed
• DOT safety and regulatory knowledge

Responsibilities

• Perform licensed DOT inspections and prevent maintenance (PM) in field service
• Diagnose and repair diesel and gas truck equipment in mobile setting
• Inspect, test, and listen to equipment using hand tools and diagnostic devices
• Manage parts inventory and use company service truck for jobs
• Document findings and parts via TRAIT app and photos in RO
• Communicate with management to obtain approvals and purchase orders
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental policy compliance (OSHA, EPA, DOT)
• Take service truck home and participate in ongoing training
