Job summary

Cox Automotive – Fleet Services is hiring a Sr Mobile Diesel Tech to perform DOT inspections, diagnostics, and on-site repairs for a nationwide fleet. You will work in a mobile/field role, access a company service vehicle, and coordinate with customers to minimize downtime.

Successful candidates bring HS diploma and 5+ years' related experience, with certifications preferred. Weekly pay, benefits, and a defined career path are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of DOT/FMCSA requirements and safety standards.
• Ability to operate and document maintenance using iOS devices.
• Experience with preventative maintenance and inspections on heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT inspections and preventive maintenance on mobile/field units.
• Repair and diagnose light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and trailers.
• Test and adjust electrical, braking, cooling, and engine systems.
• Road test vehicles and document findings on RO using TRAIT app.
• Coordinate parts and approvals with management and customers.
• Maintain service truck and complete pre-/post-trip inspections.
