Job summary

Fanfix is seeking a Senior Mobile Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable native mobile experiences for iOS and Android using React Native and Expo. You will collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to deliver fast, polished apps with robust tests and performance monitoring.

Ideal candidates have deep expertise in TypeScript, UI frameworks, and modern mobile tooling. This remote role reports to the Lead Application Engineer and thrives in a fast-moving startup environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building cross-platform apps with React Native, including navigation, animations, and performance optimization.
• Proven Expo SDK, EAS Build/Submit/Update, and OTA delivery workflows.
• Familiar with TypeScript for clean, type-safe, and maintainable codebases.
• Familiarity with modern React Native UI frameworks such as NativeWind and shadcn/ui.
• Deep understanding of app startup time, bundle optimization, memory management, and frame-rate stability.
• Experience integrating GraphQL or REST APIs with React Query or Apollo Client.
• Knowledge of bridging native modules, managing platform-specific configurations, and integrating third-party SDKs.
• Proficient with Jest and React Native Testing Library; experience with Detox or Maestro.
• Attention to detail in UI, state management, and platform-specific behavior.
• Self-driven with ownership of features from conception to completion.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain native app features with high performance.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend engineers to craft pixel-perfect experiences.
• Write robust unit and integration tests to ensure quality.
• Continuously improve app performance and startup time.
• Own key mobile features from ideation to release.
• Contribute to Fanfix mobile architecture and tooling.
• Mentor junior engineers to strengthen native expertise.
