Liberty Mutual Insurance is seeking an experienced Senior Claims Specialist focused on Miscellaneous Medical Facilities and Long-Term Care Professional Liability. You will manage a book of specialty MMF/LTC claims, conduct investigations, set reserves, and settle claims within authority limits.

The role requires 5+ years of medical Professional Liability experience, strong analytical and negotiation skills, and knowledge of applicable laws across jurisdictions.

Formación

• Bachelors' or advanced degree; JD is a plus for Professional Liability claims experience (MMF or LTC).
• 5+ years claims/legal experience with substantive, hands‑on medical Professional Liability claims.
• Knowledge of professional liability concepts, practices, and techniques including coverage issues.
• Knowledge of law and insurance regulations in jurisdictions common to MMF/LTC Professional Liability.

Responsabilidades

• Analyzes, investigates, and evaluates MMF/LTC Professional Liability claims from first notice through resolution to determine coverage and disposition.
• Establishes reserves for indemnity and expense within authority; reviews regularly for adequacy.
• Makes recommendations to set reserves for claims outside authority level.
• Prepares comprehensive reports; communicates claim trends and issues to management and underwriting.
• Manages litigation through retention of counsel and adheres to guidelines including budget, bill review, and payment.
• Monitors case resolution; participates in mediations/arbitrations within settlement authority.
• Participates in meetings with brokers, risk managers, and reinsurers.
• Maintains insurance adjuster licenses as required.
• Roles may require in-office visits (twice a month near specified offices) or remote work depending on location.
