Liberty Mutual Insurance seeks an experienced Senior Claims Specialist to manage MMF/LTC Professional Liability claims from start to finish. You will investigate, reserve, document, and settle claims within authority, coordinating with counsel and underwriters as needed.

The role requires strong negotiation and regulatory knowledge, with travel and potential in-office days depending on location. A JD is a plus and 5+ years in related claims is preferred.

Formación

• 5+ years claims/legal experience in medical Professional Liability.
• Experience litigating MMF or LTC professional liability claims.
• Knowledge of claims handling concepts, coverage issues, and product line.
• Familiarity with law and insurance regulations in jurisdictions for MMF/LTC liabilities.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze MMF/LTC Professional Liability claims from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Establish reserves for indemnity and expense within authority; review regularly for adequacy.
• Recommend reserves for claims outside authority level.
• Prepare comprehensive reports and communicate trends to management and underwriting.
• Manage litigation through retention of counsel and adhere to guidelines (budget, bill reviews).
• Monitor case resolution; participate in mediations/arbitrations within settlement authority.
• Participate in broker, risk manager, and reinsurer meetings.
• Maintain required adjuster licenses as needed.
• Occasional in-office requirements and travel; may work remotely if located away from offices.
