Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Sr. Medical Laboratory Scientist in Hackensack, NJ, a hospital-based position at HUMC with Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and rotating weekends.

The Senior MLS performs complex testing, provides technical direction to staff, and resolves analytical problems under the Supervisor's guidance. Applicants should have 3–5 years of clinical experience with MLS credentials, ASCP certification, and the ability to troubleshoot instruments, interpret data, and train

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Biology or Chemistry or an Associate degree in a Laboratory Science or Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Foreign educated candidates must provide a credential evaluation (IERF).
• US-educated candidates must provide a detailed transcript (original).
• ASCP certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates all characteristics of Med Tech I and II.
• Applies evidence-based criteria to interpret data.
• Performs clinical validation to optimize testing.
• Acts as SME and technical consultant for testing.
• Provides training and develops staff education materials.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulations.
