Job summary

BetMGM is hiring a Senior MLOps Engineer to treat ML systems as software and own the path from trained models to production endpoints. You’ll build the platform data scientists ship on, with feature stores, model registry, and CI/CD for ML, ensuring latency, cost, and reliability budgets across batch and real-time inference.

The role emphasizes a software-engineering-first mindset, with on-call duties and strong collaboration with data scientists, platform engineers, and business partners.

Qualifications

• 5+ years shipping software in production — Python, Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, CI/CD, distributed systems debugging.
• 3+ years operating ML in production — owned a model in prod with latency and cost budgets.
• AWS depth across SageMaker surface (Training, Endpoints, Batch Transform, Model Registry, Pipelines).
• Snowflake fluency — Snowpark ML, Cortex, dbt-orchestrated batch scoring, RBAC for ML workloads.

Responsibilities

• Stand up and operate BetMGM's ML platform on AWS (SageMaker Training, Model Registry, Pipelines, Endpoints, Batch Transform) and Snowflake (Snowpark ML, Cortex), with Terraform-managed infrastructure.
• Design and operate batch scoring pipelines with explicit freshness and cost SLAs.
• Design and operate real-time inference paths with sub-100ms latency budgets and graceful degradation.
• Own the feature store with online/offline parity and monitoring; manage model registry and CI/CD for ML pipelines.
• Implement champion/challenger, shadow deployments, and canary deployments as platform primitives.
